Hi, here\u2019s some background on me as an author at\u00a0Kirkus Reviews<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

I\u2019ve\u00a0studied the light body through Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer since 1992 \u2013 in Belgium, Ibiza, and the U.S. In 1997, I completed the teacher requirements, and upon my return from Belgium to Raleigh in 2001 began formal teaching. I am\u00a0also an author\/editor and a cloud photographer.<\/p>\n

Beginning in 1985 at the Jung Institute in Zurich, I had my first initiation, which you can soon read about in the latest book in the\u00a0Keep This Quiet!\u00a0<\/em>series:\u00a0Initiations<\/em>. \u00a0I like working with people to\u00a0integrate\u00a0the shift and\u00a0jolts that often accompany\u00a0awakening to your deeper identity.<\/p>\n

In the wisdom \u00a0traditions, I had shaktipat into a Hindu lineage, of Lord Ram, through the sat guru Dhyanyogi-ji, a Kundalini Maha Yoga teacher.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also interested in indigenous teachings and was a co-founder of Kayumari, a spiritual community in California, which helped open the door to the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.<\/p>\n

In Raleigh, I teach a large variety of\u00a0courses\u00a0in the\u00a0Orin\/DaBen\u00a0<\/a>curriculum. I also\u00a0offer\u00a0services to \u201cread\u201d your energy by tracking its path\u2013and its divergences, obstacles, blocks, and possibilities. My focus is on acceptance and love,\u00a0a deep sense of reality, humor, diversity, and breakthroughs\u2014cutting out the excuses and detours to get to where the road is open and even sometimes simple.<\/p>\n

Academically, I graduated with a BA in history (Honors & Distinction) from Duke\u00a0and an MA in contemporary Brit and American literature from Columbia University. After leaving the Jung Institute Zurich, I\u2019ve constinuously\u00a0studied and experimented in energy and consciousness.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The author of eight books in the Love in Transition<\/em>: Voyage of Ulysses\u2014<\/em>Letters to Penelope <\/em>nonfiction series, including Toward a Philosophy <\/em>of Perception<\/em>, Margaret copy edited Hunter Thompson\u2019s first book, Hell\u2019s <\/em>Angels.<\/em> HST acknowledged her in Gonzo Letters 2<\/em>. In 2011 her memoir Keep This Quiet! My Relationship with Hunter S. Thompson, Milton Klonsky, and Jan Mensaert<\/em> (Saeculum University Press) was published. It was followed in 2012 with Keep THIS Quiet Too! More Adventures with Hunter S. Thompson, Milton Klonsky, Jan Mensaert<\/em>. She is also an editor, cloud photographer, and mentor to people wanting to maximize their potential.<\/p>\n

I have been called \u201ccomplicated\u201d and \u201cornery,\u201d \u201cangelic\u201d and \u201cintimidating.\u201d Some are opposites, and yet at different times I can identify with them all. My light body teacher in Belgium, Roland Verschaeve, used to say, \u201cMargaret, you don\u2019t have to do anything but show up\u201d (at a workshop). And, another time, \u201cMargaret always wants the best for everyone.\u201d I\u2019ve relished when someone said that in my classes people leave their egos at the door. True indeed.
